what is a resistant strap?

A resistance strap is a type of safety equipment commonly used in construction to protect workers from falls.

It is a flexible strap made of strong, durable material, such as nylon, and is designed to be attached to a harness worn by a worker.

The resistance strap is secured to an anchor point, such as a sturdy beam or metal post, and is used to prevent the worker from falling from heights. If the worker loses balance or slips, the resistance strap will stop them from falling by absorbing the energy of the fall and gradually bringing them to a stop.

Resistance straps are an essential part of any fall protection system, and they are often required by law in many jurisdictions.

They can be used in a variety of construction settings, including on scaffolds, roofs, and elevated platforms. Proper training and use of resistance straps can help ensure worker safety and prevent accidents on the job site.

Standard Strap

A standard resistance strap is designed to support a maximum weight capacity of around 310 lbs (140 kg) and is suitable for general-purpose fall protection applications.

It is typically made of nylon webbing or other high-strength materials and is durable enough to withstand regular use.

Heavy Duty Strap

A heavy-duty resistance strap is designed to support a much higher weight capacity, typically around 420 lbs (190 kg) or more. These straps are used in more demanding applications where workers may be carrying heavy tools or equipment, or where there is a risk of high impact or multiple falls.

Heavy-duty resistance straps are made of even stronger materials, such as Kevlar or steel cable, to provide maximum strength and durability.
