Wood Primer
A wood primer is a preparatory coating applied to bare wood surfaces before painting or staining. The main purpose of a wood primer is to create a smooth, consistent surface for the topcoat to adhere to, ensuring that it will look more even and last longer.
It also helps to seal and protect the wood from moisture and other environmental factors, preventing it from rotting or decaying. Additionally, a wood primer can help to cover up any stains, knots, or other imperfections in the wood, providing a more uniform and attractive finish.
Overall, using a wood primer can help to improve the overall quality and durability of your woodwork.

Wood Topcoat
A wood topcoat is a protective and decorative layer that is applied over a finished wood surface, such as furniture, flooring, or trim. The primary purpose of a wood topcoat is to provide a durable and long-lasting layer of protection that helps to resist wear, tear, and other types of damage. It also adds an attractive finish to the wood, enhancing its natural beauty and providing a smooth, polished appearance.
In addition to protecting the wood surface from scratches, water damage, and UV rays, a wood topcoat can also improve its resistance to staining, fading, and discolouration over time. Some wood topcoats also contain additives that provide additional benefits, such as anti-microbial properties or resistance to mould and mildew.
Gloss – offering a traditional finish to most wood with a high shine.
Satin – provides a semi-gloss finish for internal projects.
