What is Cement and What are its Uses? 

Cement is a combination of stone, usually limestone, shale and clay that has been heated and turned into a fine powder.  The main use of cement is to make concrete. When this powder is mixed with water it forms a paste, the paste binds as it sets, if it is mixed with aggregates then it will form into concrete. Along with its use in concrete it is also used to make; watertight flooring, mortar for plastering, pipe joints, and hard protective surfaces. Its resistance to the elements makes it extremely useful in exterior situations.
